Wiesner-Hager Green Wooden Constructivist Chairs
1 available
Pair of stackable wooden dining chairs by Austrian manufacturer Wiesner-Hager, each with a square-section timber frame, tall rear uprights and a broad, horizontally curved wooden backrest. The seat and back are formed from shaped wooden panels finished in dark green, contrasting with the warm brown finish of the surrounding frame. The restrained construction and curved back panels place the chairs within Wiesner-Hager's postwar modern seating production; the exact model and designer have not been established.
Good vintage condition with extensive surface wear consistent with age and use. The brown wood has scattered scratches, abrasions and areas of finish loss, particularly along the legs, corners and exposed edges. The green-finished wooden seat and back panels have some wear to the finish along the seat edges. The original Wiesner-Hager label remains beneath the seat. The chairs are structurally stable and stack properly.
Professionally cleaned.
