Pair of vintage Italian mid-century modern armchairs by Gastone Rinaldi for Rima, produced in Italy in the 1970s. The chairs reflect Rinaldi's use of chromed steel rod construction and open structural forms.
Each chair is made entirely from chromed steel, with a continuous cantilever base, integrated armrests, and a fan-shaped wire backrest. The open wire seat and high curved back create a lightweight frame with visible linear rhythm throughout.
Overall good vintage condition with signs of age and use, as shown in the photos. Chrome shows localised surface oxidation as well as weld marks at certain spots on the chair. Surface scratches present. Structurally sound and sturdy. Pillows are not included.
