Designed by Adalberto del Lago for Bieffeplast, the Drive table lamp was introduced in Italy in 1974. The lamp combines a glossy green moulded body with a black base and bezel surrounding a wired glass diffuser. Its spherical lamp head and cylindrical stem create a simple geometric composition, while the textured diffuser softens the light and gives the lamp a technical character. Documented in Repertorio 1950-1980 by Giuliana Gramigna (Mondadori, Milan, 1985, p. 410). Labeled Bieffeplast.
Good vintage condition. Tested and in working order. The housing shows light surface scratches and a small chip along the front edge with minor separation where the bezel meets the housing. The wired glass diffuser is intact with light age-related staining visible internally, while the black base and bezel show light wear consistent with age.
