Modular three-seater sofa from the 1970s with a tubular chrome sled frame, separate upholstered seat and back cushions, and integrated armrests formed from continuous bent tubing. The construction belongs to the late Modernist and Space Age vocabulary of the period, combining exposed chrome hardware with generously padded cushions and a strongly geometric upholstery pattern. The brown, tan and black cut velvet features a repeating angular motif, while the original upholstery retains a German label indicating sprung construction. Each module features an independently adjustable headrest that can be raised or lowered as desired. The modules are connected using matching chrome-plated joints, allowing the same fittings to be used both to join individual modules together and to attach the end modules to the armrests.

The tubular chrome frame is structurally sound, with no visible breaks or significant deformation; the chrome shows light surface scratches, small marks and minor oxidation around some joints and fittings. The upholstery shows age-related wear including flattened areas of pile, light surface soiling and minor fraying at some cushion edges and seams. The cushions retain their overall shape, with some compression and softening consistent with use.
