Tubular Steel Chrome Seating Set in Geometric Velvet

This seating set of two matching lounge chairs and one pouf dates from the 1970s and combines a tubular chrome frame with generously upholstered seat and back cushions. The low-slung construction features rounded tubular sections, sled-like bases and visible cylindrical joining collars, while the brown and black geometric upholstery reinforces its Space Age character. The brown, tan and black cut velvet features a repeating angular motif, while the original upholstery retains a German label indicating sprung construction. A matching sofa from the same series is available separately.
The three pieces are structurally stable, with no significant movement observed. The chrome shows surface wear and oxidation, particularly around the joining collars and lower sections of the frames. The upholstery has smaller general age-related wear, as noted in the photos.
