Designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa in 1969 for Cassina, the Soriana lounge chair is formed from generously padded, button-tufted upholstery gathered within a polished metal clamping structure. The rounded seat and backrest create a continuous, enveloping volume, while the exposed metal bands define the lower edge and hold the upholstery in place. Upholstered in deep brown velvet, the chairs retain the characteristic contrast between soft, sculptural forms and the reflective metal frame. The Soriana design received the Compasso d'Oro in 1970.

A matching sofa is available separately.

Excellent vintage condition, with the original brown mohair upholstery remarkably well preserved and appearing almost unused. The fabric retains its rich colour, soft texture and full, padded form, with virtually no visible signs of wear. The chairs are structurally sound, while the polished metal clamps retain their reflective finish, with minor surface scratches and wear around the undersides and fittings.

Professionally cleaned.
