Pair of Scandinavian nesting side tables, produced during the second half of the 20th century. Their restrained proportions, rounded edges and simple construction are characteristic of Scandinavian Mid-Century furniture. Each table has a rectangular teak-veneered top with generously rounded edges resting on four cylindrical solid wood legs, allowing the smaller table to slide neatly beneath the larger. The simple construction emphasizes the continuous rounded profile around the top and the uninterrupted transition between the apron and legs. The warm teak grain and compact proportions make the tables suitable for use together or separately as side tables.
Structurally sound and stable. The teak surfaces show light scratches, small dents and localized finish wear consistent with age and use, including a few more noticeable marks to the top edges and one corner. Overall, the tables present well with an even colour and finish.
