Designed by Mario Marenco for Mobil Girgi in the 1970s, the Sapporo sofa combines a substantial wooden frame with broad, removable seat and back cushions. The frame has rounded armrests, paneled side sections and rectangular legs, with the warm-toned wood contrasting with the soft, oatmeal-beige textured upholstery. The generous proportions and separate cushions give the sofa a relaxed, low-slung character typical of Marenco's seating designs.

Good vintage condition with visible cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. The wooden frame has scratches, fine marks, abrasions and areas of finish wear, with more pronounced losses and dents along the armrests, front rails and corners. The sofa has been newly reupholstered in a high-quality Italian fabric in a warm oatmeal beige with a subtle golden undertone and textured surface. The frame appears structurally intact.
