Sabrina Chairs by Giorgio Rinaldi for RIMA
1 available
Designed by Giorgio Rinaldi for RIMA in 1972, the Sabrina chairs feature chromed tubular-steel cantilever frames with upholstered seats and backrests in cognac-brown leather. The continuous tubular structure curves beneath the seat and around the backrest, with horizontal chrome rods supporting the leather upholstery at the rear. A central rectangular metal detail on the backrest creates radiating folds in the leather, while the gently curved seat and sculpted backrest follow the contours of the frame. The chairs are frequently misattributed to Gastone Rinaldi, but were in fact designed by Giorgio Rinaldi.
In excellent vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use. The leather is remarkably well preserved, showing only natural creasing and minor variation in tone. One chair has four fastening holes in the leather back rather than two. The chrome frames retain their shine, with light scratches and localized wear. One chair has a different metal connector at a lower frame joint, indicating a previous repair or modification, as visible in the photos.
