Round Coffee Table in Two-Tier Smoked Glass & Chrome
1 available
Coffee table from the 1970s with two circular smoked-glass surfaces supported by a sculptural tubular chrome frame. The base is formed from curved chrome tubes that loop around the lower level and converge beneath the centre, creating a symmetrical open structure. The combination of tinted glass and polished tubular steel is characteristic of the Space Age and modernist furniture of the period, although no specific designer or manufacturer has been established.
The glass surfaces have fine surface scratches and localized marks from use, including several more noticeable scratches to the upper surface. The chrome frame remains highly reflective overall, with localized surface scratches, oxidation and areas of small-scale pitting, particularly around the central joints and lower tubes. The table is structurally intact.
Professionally cleaned.
