Rare Art Deco Chairs by Aldo Tura in Parchment, Wood and Leather, 1950s
0 available
Pair of elegant vintage Art Deco dining chairs by Italian designer and craftsman Aldo Tura, featuring a combination of parchment, wood, and leather.
Upon establishing his furniture production house in Lombardia in 1939 he gained a reputation for singular, high-end furniture and accessories that were typified by rich materials, sculptural forms, and high-end, artisanal techniques. Tura's work has become highly collectible, especially examples with exotic finishes- like eggshell, goatskin, and parchment-in intense color palettes.
Produced in Italy during the 1950s.
Overall good vintage condition with signs of age. Leather seating and backrest have scratches and dents as well as cracks due to age and use. Some discoloration present as well. One circular crack on the right side of one of the chairs. The parchment peeling off in select places has been repaired.
