Pine and Canvas Coffee Table by Karin Mobring for IKEA

Designed by Karin Mobring for IKEA in the 1970s, this coffee table combines a rectangular pine tabletop with an integrated magazine rack suspended beneath it. The solid pine frame is constructed with square-section uprights and rails joined at the corners, while two fabric compartments hang from wooden rods below the tabletop to hold books and magazines. The warm honey-toned finish and exposed construction give the piece a distinctly Scandinavian modern character.
Good vintage condition with visible cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. The pine surfaces have scratches, dents and areas of finish wear, with more pronounced abrasions and small losses to some edges and corners. The fabric magazine compartments show discoloration, surface marks, localized staining and some fraying along the edges; the frame is structurally stable.
