Designed by Percival Lafer in the 1970s, the MP-41 lounge chair and matching ottoman were manufactured by Lafer MP in Brazil.

The set consists of stained hardwood frames with broad rails, rounded legs and exposed metal fasteners. Suspended leather upholstery is fixed to the frames with leather straps beneath the seat. The chair's seat, back and armrests are formed from a single padded leather assembly with deep button tufting, while the matching ottoman follows the same construction and detailing.

Good vintage condition. The leather shows creasing, surface wear, colour variation, darker areas of wear to the seat, and scattered marks. The timber frame has light scratches, small abrasions and minor edge wear. The leather suspension straps remain intact. The original manufacturer's labels are present.
