Designed by Franco Poldaretti for Linea Arredamenti in Tuscany, Italy in the late 1970s, this pair of Caccia alla Volpe wall panels belongs to the manufacturer's modular furniture programme introduced at the 1978/79 Salone del Mobile in Milan. Originally conceived as headboards within the bedroom collection, the panels were later adapted as entrance furniture, extending the same architectural grid and marquetry vocabulary across different areas of the home. Each rectangular timber panel encloses a fine square lattice and is fitted with three removable sculptural wooden hooks that slide into the grid, allowing their position to be adjusted. Concealed wall-mounting hardware is integrated into the frame, while the open lattice construction gives the panels a light architectural appearance.
Very good vintage condition. The frames are structurally sound, and all six removable hooks fit securely within the lattice. Minor scratches, small scuffs and localized finish wear are visible throughout, including light abrasions to several lattice members and frame edges consistent with age and use. The wall-mounting hardware is present and ready for installation.
