‘Model 620’ Dining Chairs by Silvio Coppola for Bernini
1 available
Designed by Silvio Coppola for Bernini, Italy, the Model 620 dining chair combines a solid timber frame with leather upholstery in a restrained architectural composition. Rounded posts with domed finials frame the gently curved backrest and the generously padded seat, while tapered legs and softly radiused rails give the chair a sculptural quality. The warm-toned leather develops a rich patina that contrasts with the dark timber frame, emphasising the materiality of both elements. Each chair retains the original Bernini manufacturer's label.
Good vintage condition. The chairs are structurally sound with stable frames and no structural movement observed. The timber shows scattered scratches, minor dents and isolated finish wear consistent with age and use, including one leg with a small longitudinal crack at the bottom. The leather upholstery presents well overall with an even patina, light creasing and an isolated area of surface drying present on one of the chairs, as shown in the photographs.
