Mid-Century Modern Chairs by Hans Fiedler & Hans Heyder
1 available
Pair of upholstered chairs designed by Hans Fiedler and Hans Heyder and produced in the former East Germany (DDR) during the 1970s. Each chair has a chrome-plated tubular steel frame with its original upholstered seat and back. The design stacks for storage when not in use. The same models were used in public buildings in the GDR (East Germany), including the Palace of the Republic.
Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. The upholstery shows minor marks, gentle compression and localized wear, including some fraying along the edges. The chrome has light scratches and small areas of surface wear. The chairs stack correctly.
