Original Maralunga armchair designed by Vico Magistretti for Cassina and produced in Italy. The model features Magistretti's patented adjustable backrest, allowing the headrest to be raised or folded down, while retaining the chair's compact profile. Upholstered in black leather, the armchair has broad upholstered side panels, loose seat and back cushions, and the characteristic soft, rounded form of the Maralunga series. Cassina labels are present.

Very good vintage condition. Structurally sound. The adjustable backrest functions as intended. The original leather shows an even patina with general creasing consistent with age and use. Minor scuffs and light surface scratches are visible on the lower edges of the side panels and base, together with a few small marks to the leather upholstery. One fine surface scratch is visible on the seat cushion. No significant tears or repairs were observed.
