Designed by Mario Bellini for Cassina in 1972, Le Mura is a modular seating system conceived as an arrangement of substantial, cushion-like upholstered volumes, inspired by the irregular composition of stone walls. Its individual elements can be combined in different configurations, with the deep, low-set forms creating a continuous landscape of padded surfaces. These daybeds have elongated proportions, rounded edges and raised backrests, upholstered in original striped fabric in warm rust-brown tones, paired with smoother brown fabric on the seating surfaces. Chrome-finished fittings are visible at the backrest connections, providing a contrast to the soft, fully upholstered forms.

The pair can be used as two separate daybeds or combined to form a king-size bed, with both configurations requiring the addition of a mattress.

Excellent vintage condition, with the original upholstery remarkably well preserved. The fabric shows minimal signs of age, with only slight shading and gentle creasing. The beds are structurally sound, with virtually no visible wear to the upholstery or frames.

Professionally cleaned.
