Designed by Giotto Stoppino in Italy in the 1970s, these armchairs feature continuous chrome-plated tubular steel frames supporting padded seats and rounded backrests. The frame follows a single curved line around the sides and beneath the seat, while the black faux-leather upholstery is gathered around the edges and backrest. The combination of tubular chrome and sculptural upholstered forms is characteristic of Stoppino's 1970s Italian Modernist seating.
Good vintage condition with visible signs of age and use. The black upholstery shows fine scratches, creasing and surface wear, with more pronounced marks visible on the seat and backrest surfaces. The chrome-plated tubular frames retain a bright finish with fine scratches, small marks and localized areas of surface wear and oxidation. The frames remain structurally sound and stable.
