German Stacking Chairs in Petrol Blue Plywood
10 available
These German dining chairs combine dark-stained wooden frames with blue-finished plywood seats and curved backrests. The back panels have a shallow, sculpted profile and are fixed between the upright rear posts with visible metal fasteners, while the square-section legs and rails form a straightforward, rectilinear structure. The chairs stack together for storage, with the stepped arrangement of the frames and curved back panels creating a compact profile when nested. Their restrained geometry and contrasting blue and brown finishes place them within a modernist design vocabulary.
The chairs retain their distinctive blue finish and warm brown wooden frames, with the curved backrests and clean lines remaining clearly defined. They show signs of age and use, including scratches and scuffs to the blue surfaces, small chips and areas of finish loss on the wooden frames, and more pronounced wear around the feet, corners and exposed edges. The finish varies in tone across the wood, adding to the visible character of the pieces. All the chairs are structurally stable and stack properly.
