German executive desk dating from the 1970s, constructed with a large rectangular wood-veneered top, two suspended three-drawer pedestals and exposed chrome-plated metal supports. Two shallow drawers are integrated beneath the front edge of the top, while the drawer fronts continue the horizontal grain of the veneer. The combination of suspended storage and exposed metal construction places the desk within the German modernist office furniture of the period.

The desk is structurally intact, with the drawers opening and closing correctly and the locking system functioning. The wood surfaces show scratches, small marks and areas of finish wear, particularly along the front edge of the top and drawer fronts, with several small chips and abrasions to the veneer edges and corners. The chrome-plated metal base shows surface wear and minor oxidation consistent with age and use.
