Gaudì Armchairs by Vico Magistretti for Artemide
1 available
Designed by Vico Magistretti in 1970 and produced by Artemide from 1971, the Gaudì is a one-piece armchair moulded from glass-fibre-reinforced resin. Its sculptural shell uses the material's geometry to provide structural rigidity, with integrated armrests, an oval opening at each side and four splayed legs. The underside is marked "SPA ARTEMIDE MILANO / MODELLO GAUDI / DESIGN VICO MAGISTRETTI / MADE IN ITALY / PATENT PENDING," consistent with an early production example.
Good vintage condition, with visible signs of age and use. The glossy red-brown finish retains its shine, with scattered scratches and fine hairline cracks that are cosmetic only. The joints shown in the damage collages are construction joints in the legs, not cracks. Both chairs remain structurally intact.
Professionally cleaned.
