First Chair by Michele De Lucchi for Memphis Milano
1 available
First Chair was designed by Michele De Lucchi for the Memphis Milano collection in 1983. The chair combines tubular metal, lacquered wood, and geometric forms in a composition characteristic of the early Memphis series.
A tubular metal frame in a matte silver finish forms a circular back structure intersected by two black spheres. A blue circular backrest and black round seat are supported on four cylindrical legs, creating a composition of circles, spheres, and straight elements.
The chair shows light wear consistent with age and use. The painted backrest has minor surface scratches and small marks, while the aluminium frame displays scattered scuffs and abrasion, most noticeably along the curved back rail. The black lacquered seat has light edge wear. The black spherical finials show localized paint loss. The chair is stable and structurally sound.
