Pair of 'Esse' chairs by Gigi Sabadin for Stilwood, an iconic piece of design made entirely from bent plywood. The curved construction gives the impression of a single piece of wood that has been cut and folded, forming both the seat and backrest. Supported by three legs, the chair creates a light, floating silhouette.
The open cut-out in the backrest adds visual lightness and highlights the sculptural form of the design.
Excellent vintage condition with smaller expected signs of age. A smaller chip on the bottom of one leg has been professionally repaired.
