Dieter Rams 620 Armchairs for Vitsœ

Designed by Dieter Rams for Vitsœ in 1962, the 620 Chair Programme was conceived as a modular seating system in which individual armchairs could be joined to form a sofa. This pair features the early white moulded shells with upholstered seat and back cushions, broad integrated armrests and four small spherical feet. The restrained construction and separation of the structural shell from the soft upholstery are characteristic of Rams's early furniture design for Vitsœ. The pair has been newly reupholstered in a high-quality fabric in a pistachio green tone with a soft, subtly textured surface.
Good vintage condition with expected cosmetic signs of age and use. The white shells have scratches, fine marks, small chips and localized areas of finish loss, particularly around the edges and armrests. The newly upholstered cushions are in very good condition. The shells and bases remain structurally sound and stable.
Professionally cleaned. Reupholstered.
