Diana Coffee Table by Karin Mobring for IKEA

Designed by Karin Mobring for IKEA in the 1970s, the Diana coffee table is constructed entirely in pine with a low, square form and exposed screw connections. The frame is built from broad rectangular timber elements, with the legs, perimeter rails and lower stretchers joined directly at the corners. The visible construction and warm-grained pine give the table a distinctly Scandinavian character.
The table is structurally stable, with no significant movement observed in the frame or joints. The pine surfaces show scratches, scuffs and areas of finish wear consistent with age and use, including more pronounced marks to the tabletop and edges. There are small areas of darker discolouration and minor surface abrasions to the legs and frame. The exposed screw connections are intact.
