Mid-Century dining chairs designed by Arne Hovmand-Olsen and manufactured by Mogens Kold, Denmark, during the 1960s. The design combines softly sculpted solid wood frames with an upholstered floating seat and a broad, gently curved backrest carved from a single piece of wood. Rounded tapered legs and continuous rear uprights emphasise the organic character of the construction, while the restrained silhouette is characteristic of Danish Modern furniture from the period. The chairs retain their dark green leather upholstery, creating a strong contrast with the warm wood grain.
Good vintage condition. Structurally sound with no movement observed. The solid wood frames display light surface wear and a few minor marks consistent with age, including small scratches and isolated nicks to several legs. The original dark green leather upholstery presents well overall with light creasing, minor surface wear and a few small indentations consistent with use.
