Designed by Percival Lafer and produced by Lafer MP in Brazil, this coffee table combines a dark timber frame with a smoked glass top. The exposed mechanical fixings and straightforward construction are characteristic of Lafer's furniture, where practical assembly becomes part of the visual composition.
A smoked glass top sits within a rectangular timber frame. Four broad tapered legs are fixed to the outside of the frame and extend slightly above the surface at each corner. Exposed metal fixings remain visible at the joints.
Good vintage condition. Minor scratches and small edge chips to the smoked glass consistent with age and use. Light surface wear and scattered marks to the timber frame, including abrasions to the legs. Stable construction.
