This set of four vintage dining chairs features continuous chrome-plated tubular steel frames supporting upholstered seats and rectangular backrests with distinctive arched cut-outs along the lower edge. The tubular construction forms the legs, seat support and back frame in a cantilevered configuration. Newly upholstered in a high-quality mustard golden velvet, the chairs draw on the Bauhaus-derived tubular-steel vocabulary of European modernist seating.
Very good vintage condition with expected signs of age and use. The chrome-plated frames retain a bright finish with scattered scratches, surface marks and localized areas of oxidation and finish wear. The chairs have been newly upholstered in mustard-yellow velvet, which is in excellent condition. The frames remain structurally sound and stable.
