Cesca-Style Cantilever Chairs
1 available
Based on Marcel Breuer's B32 chair, popularly known as the Cesca, these cantilever chairs combine chrome-plated tubular steel frames with black-finished wooden surrounds and natural cane seats and backrests. The continuous bent-steel frame extends beneath the seat to form the cantilever base, while the woven cane panels contrast with the dark frames and reflective chrome. This example comes from an unidentified Italian production dating to the 2000s, rather than an identified Knoll, Thonet or Gavina edition.
The cane is intact, with no obvious breaks or losses. The black-finished wooden frames show minor surface wear, while the chrome-plated steel has scattered scratches and light signs of use. Overall, the chairs are in good vintage condition and structurally stable.
