LC2 two-seater sofa designed by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret for Cassina, originally introduced in 1928 and produced here in the early 2000s. The model is a defining work of modernist furniture. This example features a black tubular steel frame with dark anthracite fabric upholstery, giving the sofa a restrained, almost monolithic appearance. The exposed tubular frame wraps the upholstered body on all sides, preserving the construction that defines the LC2. Cassina engravings are present on the frame, with additional Cassina markings to the upholstery.

Very good vintage condition. Structurally sound. The original fabric upholstery shows noticeable, even discolouration from use and light exposure, giving the anthracite fabric a softer grey tone in the most exposed areas. The black lacquered frame has minor scratches and small areas of finish loss, most notably on the arm rails. Cassina engravings remain present and legible.
