Chairs with woven cane seats and backrests set within black frames, supported by tubular chrome-plated steel cantilever bases. The exposed curved tubing forms a continuous structure beneath the seat, with rear supports extending to the framed backrest. The combination of woven cane, dark edging and polished metal draws on the Bauhaus-associated chair typology popularised by Marcel Breuer's designs. The exact designer and manufacturer remain unidentified.
Good vintage condition with signs of age and use. The cane seats and backrests show minor wear and some irregularities in the weave. The dark wooden frames have scattered scratches and small areas of finish wear, particularly along the edges. The chrome-plated tubular steel frames show minor surface scratches and localized marks. The chairs are structurally stable.
