Pair of bentwood cantilever armchairs by Lübke, produced in Germany during the 1970s. The design reflects the continued development of cantilever seating in molded wood construction, characteristic of German furniture manufacturing of the period.
Each chair is formed from laminated bentwood with a continuous cantilever frame creating the sled base and front supports, extended to form integrated armrests. The seat and backrest are fitted with woven cane panels framed in wood, while the curved vertical supports connect the backrest to the seat structure, emphasizing the flowing lines of the bentwood form.
Very good vintage condition with expected signs of age.
