Writing desk by Marcel Breuer, commonly referred to as the 'Canaan' desk, produced by Gavina, Italy, circa 1970s. The table has been produced by in a smaller series after Dino Gavina visited Marcel Breuer's modernist 'House II' at 122 Sunset Hill Road in New Canaan, Connecticut, where he found the table designed by the artist for his personal home and use.

The desk is a rare example that is very well preserved and retains its original Gavina label underneath the top.

Very good vintage condition with light weare and smaller visible signs of age and use. The interior drawers remain clean and functional, and the piece retains a strong overall presentation consistent with age and use.
