Cab 412 chair designed by Mario Bellini for Cassina in 1977, constructed around a tubular steel frame with a self-supporting saddle-leather covering. The leather forms the seat, backrest and legs as a continuous tailored shell, with stitched seams and zip fastenings securing it around the frame. The chair is finished in a warm reddish-brown leather with a high-sheen surface. Original Cassina marking present underneath the seat.
Good vintage condition with visible wear to the leather consistent with age and use. The leather has scattered scratches and surface marks across the seat and backrest, with areas of wear along the edges and corners. The lower edges of the legs show more pronounced rubbing and wear. The stitching remains intact overall, with some minor wear to the leather immediately alongside the seams. The chair is structurally intact and retains a beautiful patina expected with age.
