Brutalist Pine Sling Lounge Chair
1 available
This brutalist lounge chair features an exposed solid pine frame supporting a suspended canvas sling with loose leather cushions. The frame is built from thick slab-like side uprights connected by cylindrical stretchers, with large exposed dowel pegs used as both structural and visual elements. The suspended canvas carries generously proportioned leather cushions that wrap over the top rails to form the backrest, seat and armrests. The combination of an exposed timber structure, sling construction and soft leather upholstery recalls the Brazilian Mid-Century furniture tradition associated with designers such as Sergio Rodrigues, executed here in European pine.
The chair appears structurally sound, with no visible repairs or movement to the frame. The canvas sling is intact and securely attached, showing light discoloration, minor wear and localized fraying at the lower rear corners. The leather cushions display an even patina with creasing, light scratches and scattered marks from use, including several small darker spots to the seat. The pine frame has scattered surface scratches, small dents and localized finish wear consistent with age.
