Likely produced in Brazil during the 1970s, these monumental lounge chairs combine solid hardwood construction with suspended charcoal leather cushions. The broad wooden frame remains fully exposed, carrying the upholstery with thick leather straps. Architectural and deeply sculptural, they belong to the same design tradition as the work of Sergio Rodrigues and other Brazilian modernists.

Good vintage condition. Structurally sound, with sturdy hardwood frames and intact leather suspension. The original charcoal leather has developed a rich patina with natural creasing, scuffs and wear consistent with decades of use, together with a small tear to the edge of one seat cushion. The hardwood frames show light scratches, minor dents and areas of finish wear. The chairs present beautifully, with age adding depth and character to the materials.
