These cantilever dining chairs combine polished tubular metal frames with black leather upholstered seats and separate curved backrests. The suspended seats are supported by a continuous bent-tube structure, with the backrests attached through shaped metal connectors. The contrast between the reflective frames and the black upholstery gives the chairs a restrained modernist character, with a design vocabulary rooted in tubular-steel furniture.
The chairs are in good vintage condition, with the black upholstery retaining its smooth, gently creased appearance. Signs of age and use include surface scratches, scuffs and localised cracking, with small areas of wear along some edges. The polished metal frames retain their reflective finish, with some discolouration around the joints and minor wear to the foot glides. The chairs are structurally stable and sound.
