Architectural Constructivist Dining Chairs
1 available
Set of four Italian dining chairs, produced during the 1970s or 1980s. The design is defined by a restrained panel construction in veneered plywood, with broad planar sides, a recessed seat and a gently inclined backrest pierced by two circular finger holes. Exposed plywood edges and visible black fasteners express the construction, while the continuous wood veneer creates a warm, uniform surface. Their reductive geometric composition recalls the furniture of Donald Judd, interpreted through the material warmth and practicality of Italian production.
Good vintage condition. All four chairs are structurally sound and stable. The veneered surfaces show light scratches, scattered edge wear and small areas of finish wear consistent with age and use.
