Alias Spaghetti Lounge Set by Giandomenico Belotti
1 available
Designed by Giandomenico Belotti for Alias in 1979, the Spaghetti 109 is the armchair model in the Spaghetti collection, which marked the beginning of Alias's history and is represented in the collections of MoMA in New York and the Triennale Milano. The armchairs feature tubular steel frames with polished chrome plating, curved arm supports and black panels spanning the seats, backrests and armrests, held in place by exposed tensioning rods. The matching footstool combines a black upholstered top with a chromed tubular steel frame, echoing the armchairs' materials and open construction. The chairs can be stacked for storage.
In very good condition. The black panels show surface scratches, creasing and localized wear, particularly along the backs and edges. The chrome-plated steel frames have surface scratches, oxidation and localized losses to the plating, most noticeably around joints and lower sections. The footstool surface also shows visible marks and wear. The set is structurally sound and presents very well with an attractive vintage patina.
Professionally cleaned.
