Designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek in 1933, the Aalto 80B table features Aalto's characteristic L-leg construction, with four laminated birch legs bent through a continuous curve beneath the rectangular tabletop. The table has a warm honey-toned birch finish, with a solid wood edge surrounding the veneered top. The simple construction and integrated bent-wood legs are characteristic of Aalto's early furniture designs for Artek.
Good vintage condition with visible cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. The tabletop has scratches, fine marks, circular impressions and areas of finish wear, including more pronounced abrasions and small losses to the surface and edges. The legs show scratches, dents and localized finish wear, with additional abrasions around the lower sections. The table is structurally stable.
