'Quinta' Armchair by Mario Botta for Alias, 1980s Italy
1 available
Iconic original 1980s 'Quinta' chair designed by Mario Botta and produced by Alias.
During the 1980s, famous Swiss architect, Mario Botta worked with the manufacturer Alias as a designer on a whole range of furniture. Botta's ingenious designs are often composed of simple geometric shapes, while also creating unique complex spaces.
The Quinta chair's frame is made of metal tubing and the seat is constructed from folded perforated sheet metal. The shape of the perforated steel back and seat lend some flexibility to the material and allow to comfortably sit or lean back.
The chair, originally made in Italy, is no longer in production today.
