Making its' debut at the Paris Salon d'Automne in 1929, a year after it was designed, the iconic 'LC4' chair has been a design staple ever since. Designed by trio Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand at their iconic'Rue de Sevres' studio in Paris, the chair is built along the proportions introduced in Le Corbusiers' 'Modulor' system and follows the contours of the human body.
A sort of modernist reinvention of the reclining chair, it features a fixed base on which the chromed tubular steel frame glides back and forth to allow for the perfect incline.
The chair featured here is a licensed Cassina production, serial number 64356.
Produced by Cassina in Italy in the mid-to-late 20th century.
In very good vintage condition with minimal expected signs of age, as portrayed in the photos.
