The lamp is held in place between the floor and ceiling by a spring-loaded pole. Three chrome-plated spotlights rotate independently to direct the light. Circular wire elements with ivory-coloured spherical terminals form the upper and lower supports, while black plastic collars contrast with the polished metal construction. The lamp was produced with two fixed pole lengths to suit different ceiling heights, each allowing a small range of adjustment through the spring-loaded mounting system.
